Team Heizomat – Commited to the young generation
Team Heizomat, located in Bavaria, is the longest-running professional cycling team in Germany. With more than 200 victories within its 15-years of history and its bold way of competition, Team Heizomat presents itself successfully and passionately to the audience. Most recently they took second place in the German LILA-LOGISTIK Rad-Bundesliga 2015 which they had won in 2014.
The excellent development of young riders is the genuine asset of this likeable and down-to-earth team from Franconia. One major task the team management sees in the development of young and talented athletes for the higher professional divisions of cycling. At the same time, special emphasis is placed on the transmission of values to the young riders.
The top event in North Rhine-Westphalia
Since 2006, Sparkassen Münsterland Giro has developed into one of Germany’s biggest cycling events. With its 5,000 participants and up to 250,000 roadside attendances it is the biggest annual sporting event in North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2015, the race was classified into the highest category of the UCI Europe Tour and therefore counts to one of the most valuable races in this series.
In addition to the professional race, other highlights are the “everyman’s races” of the Giro which can be count for the best-attended amateur races in Germany. Those races testify the unabated enthusiasm of amateur sportsmen for cycling. Furthermore, the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro, held on the day of German Unity, is the season’s final of the German Cycling Cup, Germany’s biggest “everyman’s racing series”.
